During my ongoing process of introspection I have been confronted with the realm of the unconscious a countless number of times not only in the literal sense but during self-contemplation and evaluation as well. The surreal is an important place for me; it is place that I believe to be true, a place I hope to someday to be able to fully grasp. I believe that a reverie can reveal a truer self and thus unfold a personal mythology that manifests the way you interpret your way of living and even life itself.
I have found myself to become almost religious when it comes to thinking about my artistic endeavors and positioning as an artist in contemporary times. I would like to explore and try to formulate for myself what my ‘beliefs’ are and if they can be grounded and supported by facts. If what I have come to have is indeed a religious notion, my inspiration proves that I am certainly not the only believer.
